FAQ

Rolling Thunder®, Inc.'s "Ride To The Wall" has become a very large and important event. More importantly the ride promotes involvement in the POW/MIA issue. Our group addresses and actively lobbies our congressman/women on issues that impact the future policies of the U.S. Government and U.S. Military. This directly relates to its handling of those servicemen and women that become missing or captured during a time of war.

RIDE REQUIREMENTS

HELMETS ARE REQUIRED IN:
VIRGINIA, WEST VIRGINIA, MARYLAND & WASHINGTON DC
(as well as on the ride in DC)

Every year our numbers have grown. Of course, the safety of all participants needs to be addressed; therefore, we require ALL riders to review our Event Ride Rules and participate in ONE of three (3) orientation classes that will be offered before anyone is allowed to join our group on this event. The dates of the orientation classes are as follows:
  • April 23rd (Sun), 11:00 before April Chapter meeting at Ft Harrison Veterans Center
  • May 21st (Sun), 11:00 before May Chapter meeting at Ft Harrison Veterans Center
  • May 24th (Wed), 19:00 at Ft Harrison Veterans Center - Last chance to register for 2017 RTTW
There will be NO registration the day of the ride. ALL riders will have completed one of the orientation class and been issued the proper identification and set of ride rules.ANY individual or group is welcome to join our group along the route to Washington D.C. or the return trip; however, they will be required to fall in behind the chase truck and accompanying vehicles. This will ensure the integrity of the main body of riders that have participated in the safety classes. The Rolling Thunder® Demonstration Ride in Washington, D.C. is very important and dramatic, we want to be sure that all that participate along with Indiana Chapter #1 will arrive and return safely.
